Apni Party will ensure implementation of constitutional rights to empower SC community: Ghulam Hassan Mir

JAMMU FEBUARY 03 (KNS): Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir today his Party will ensure implementation of the constitutional rights in favour of the Schedule Caste community in Jammu and Kashmir for their social, educational, economic and political empowerment.

Ghulam Hassan Mir was speaking at a meeting of SC community leaders that was organized by J&K President, Bodh Raj Bhagat here at Apni Party Office, Gandhi Nagar in Jammu.

The meeting was attended by senior leaders of the Party including General Secretary, Syed Asgar Ali, Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh, and others.

During the meeting, the President of SC Wing Bodh Raj Bhagat highlighted the issues faced by the SC Community in Jammu region in the wake of development of their localities, difficulties to the SC Govt employees/officials regarding their promotions, social, and educational status of the community referring to various areas.

In his speech, Ghulam Hassan Mir appreciated the efforts of the SC wing and made certain suggestions that were required to improve the functioning of the wing and to educate the SC community regarding the welfare schemes of the Apni Party.

“The constitutional rights granted to the Schedule Caste community should be implemented under the constitution of India whereas the Apni Party will make all efforts to get these rights implemented in their favour. However, the SC community remained deprived of constitutional rights in the past because of the previous Govt’s negligence,” he said.

He further explained that the implementation of constitutional rights for the SC is not the end, but the Apni Party will give thrust towards the improvement of their living standard as well as to end the feeling of inferiority among the community members.

“The SC community should educate their children and acquiring higher education is must for their educational status,” he said, while asking the SC community to follow the footsteps of B.R. Ambedkar sahab.

He said that education empowers the society and uplift the downtrodden section of the society.

He also referred to the concerns of underdevelopment in the residential colonies of the SC community and insisted on the development of the areas.

He elaborated about the policy and programs of the Party regarding the upgradation of the SC community.

“The welfare policies of the Party will be implemented to uplift the living standard of the SC community in Jammu and Kashmir,” he stated.

Meanwhile, General Secretary, Syed Asgar Ali also addressed the meeting and suggested measures that need to be taken for the SC community in the hilly regions and Party’s role in their empowerment.

While speaking in the meeting, Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh expressed his gratitude to the SC Wing and insisted on them to increase the door-to-door campaign to educate people about the policy and programs of the Party.

He also referred to the concerns of the Govt employees in Jammu and Kashmir who have been denied benefits of reservation in promotions.

“The Govt employees/officers should be given reservation benefits in promotions,” he added.
