Jammu, June 05(KNS): Apni Party Provincial Secretary / District Jammu Urban, President, Dr Rohit Gupta called on the Chief Engineer Jal Shakti Department and raised various issues concerning the public.
As per a press release, Dr Rohit Gupta met the Chief Engineer Jal Shakti and discussed public issues regarding uninterrupted supply of drinking water and immediate replacement / repair of broken pipes in Jammu City.
He also demanded restoration of drinking water in the village Aitham falling in Jammu East constituency. He informed that the area is without drinking water facilities and the people are dependent on a defunct dug well which needs urgent repair / restoration work.
On listening to him patiently, the Chief Engineer assured that work for the new tube well has been allotted and the needful will be done in a short time. The Technical Officer to Chief Engineer was also present during the meeting.
Earlier, Dr Gupta also demanded replacement of old pipes as many of them are leaking and the new ones should be installed in extension The second of Subash Nagar Jammu was also discussed.(KNS).
