Dozens of people join Party in Jammu

Jammu Febuary 2 (KNS): Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that the Party is committed to address the problems and improve living standard of the people related to trade class in Jammu and Kashmir.

Ghulam Hassan Mir said this while addressing a meeting of the Apni Trade Union at Gandhi Nagar Office, Jammu. The meeting was organized by Trade Union J&K President, Ajaz Kazmi.

In this meeting, threadbare discussions were held regarding the issues to strengthen the trade union and how to expand its roots across Jammu and Kashmir.

The issues of daily wagers, traders/shopkeepers, hoteliers, and others were discussed and accordingly, the Party leaders were given instruction on how to improve the working of the Trade Union and connect to the people across Jammu and Kashmir.

Appreciating the efforts of Apni Trade Union in bringing out burning issues of trade related class, the Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir stressed on strengthening the Trade Union so that the issues of the people related to trade can be benefited.

“To reach out to the workers class, we have to identify their problems and accordingly, reach out to them to see if their living standard can be improved and how their problems can be addressed,” he said.

He further stated that “We must make close contact with the working class and through the medium of Apni Party, we have to make sure that the Apni Party can address their problems and reach out to them.”

He assured that the Party will address their economic issues as well by framing a policy for their welfare.

Meanwhile, the Apni Party, General Secretary, Vijay Bakaya, while complimenting the workers associated with the Trade Union Wing of the Apni Party for raising issues of workers in various trades from time to time, advised the various committees and their office bearers to coordinate with each other and take collective decisions so that everyone feels part of the team.

He told those present that they should remember that they are part of a Party with a progressive Outlook which is trying to take the people of the Union Territory on the path of progress honestly and truthfully without any distractions.

Besides, the Party’s Provincial President Jammu, S. Manjit Singh said that the Party is committed to regularize over 61000 the daily wagers who have been serving across the Jammu and Kashmir in different departments.

“The implementation of minimum wage act, regularization of daily wagers, and release of their wages on regular basis,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, J&K President, Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi said that the issues of daily wagers, Rehbar-e-Khel, Transporters, Home Guards, hoteliers, houseboat owners, shopkeepers and others.

He said that the Party will fight for the cause of the neglected class so that their lives can be upgraded and their economic status can also be improved with friendly policies.

Earlier, over a dozen people joined the Party in presence of Ghulam Hassan Mir. He welcomed them into the party folds and hoped that their joining would boost the morale of the Party.
