Srinagar, June 29 (KNS): The Muharram mourning processions organised by Anjuman Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir continued across the Kashmir Valley on the 13th of Muharram, with Alam Sharief and Zuljanah processions taken out in several areas. Thousands of mourners participated with profound devotion, paying tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala.
According to a press release issued her, The processions were organised under the auspices of Anjuman Sharie Shian at Mullah Shulla Beerwah, Kakinmaran, Aakarwhale Budgam, Baghpora Odina, Gund Nowgam, Peer Mohalla Zalpora, Sona Barn Inderkote Sonawari in Bandipora, Kanloo Pattan, Zadi Mohalla Deewar Baramulla, and several other localities, where mourners observed the rituals of Muharram with deep reverence, discipline, and religious fervour.
Addressing a large gathering at Imambara Baghpora Odina Sonawari, the President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mousawi Al-Safavi, elaborated on the philosophy of Imamate and the significance of Imam Hussain's (AS) martyrdom.
He said that the character and conduct of Yazid were fundamentally incompatible not only with the teachings of Islam and the principles of the Islamic Shariah but also with the universal values of justice, morality, and human dignity.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelTherefore, he said, Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) could never recognise or legitimise the rule of such a tyrannical and corrupt ruler.
Aga Syed Hassan stated that the brutal martyrdom of the grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who, along with his companions and family, was denied food and water in the scorching plains of Karbala, remains one of the darkest chapters in the history of oppression and human cruelty.
He further observed that the unparalleled patience, courage, and steadfastness demonstrated by Imam Hussain (AS) in the face of immense suffering established an eternal standard of sacrifice, resilience, and moral conviction. His uncompromising stand against falsehood, Aga Syed Hassan said, continues to serve as an enduring source of inspiration for all those who uphold truth, justice, and freedom.
Emphasising the timeless relevance of the tragedy of Karbala, Aga Syed Hassan said that the sacrifices made by the Ahlul Bayt (AS) constitute one of the most illustrious chapters in Islamic history and remain a guiding light for seekers of truth, lovers of the Prophet's Household, and all those committed to justice, dignity, and resistance against oppression.(KNS)
