Srinagar, July 2 (KNS) : The Jammu & Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian has condemned the prevention of its President, Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mosavi Al-Safavi, from travelling to Tehran to attend the funeral ceremonies of the Iran supreme leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei (RA).
In a statement issued here, the Anjuman's Spokesperson said that Aga Syed Hassan was scheduled to depart for the Islamic Republic today on Mahan Airways Flight W5070 from Indira Gandhi International Airport, Terminal-3, New Delhi, in response to an official invitation extended by the concerned Iranian authorities to participate in the solemn funeral rites of the late Supreme Leader.
The Spokesperson alleged that officials of the Bureau of Immigration stopped the senior religious leader at the airport, reportedly seized his passport, and prevented him from boarding the flight despite his possession of all requisite travel documents, including a valid passport, visa, and confirmed travel arrangements.
