Anjuman condoles demise of Moulana Syed Ahmad Farooqui, pays tributes

 Srinagar, Aug 30(KNS): Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Moulana Syed Ahmad Farooqui, the former Imam and Khateeb of Aasaar-e-Sharief Dargah Hazratbal who passed away on Monday after a brief illness.

In a statement, the Anjuman paid tribute in wonderful words to the deceased Imam for his religious services and leading prayers at Dargah Hazratbal.

 

The Auqaf on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq described Moulana Farooqui as a moral, amiable and noble person, and expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to his brother Moulana Kamaal Ud Din Farooqui, the present Imam of Dargah -Shareef, the sons of the deceased, the management and devotees of Dargah Hazratbal, and all the relatives of the departed soul.

 

The organisation prayed to Allah Almighty to accept the good deeds of the deceased and grant him Jannat-ul-Firdous. The Anjuman also expressed condolence, sympathy and solidarity with Moulana Farooqui’s successors and other members of the family.

 

Meanwhile, a delegation of Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar led by General Secretary Haji Muhammad Altaf and Jama Masjid Imam Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon visited the bereaved family and expressed condolence and solidarity on behalf of the organisation and its leadership.

 

They prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul and patience to the bereaved family members at this hour of grief.(KNS).
