Anjuman Auqaf pays tribute to Hazrat Bahaa-ud-Din Naqshband (RA)

 Srinagar, Sep 20 (KNS): Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar on behalf of its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq paid glowing tribute to Hazrat Sheikh Bahaa-ud-Din Naqshband Sahib (RA) on his Urs for his unprecedented spiritual and reformative services.

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that Hazrat Bahaa-ud-Din (RA) was the founder of the Sufi order of Naqshbandiya and millions of Muslims in the subcontinent including many in Kashmir follow this order.

The Anjuman termed it extremely unfortunate that its president Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will was unable to deliver sermon at Khawaja Naqshband Sahib (RA) shrine on the famous occasion of "Khwaja Digar" due to his continuous house arrest.

It urged the government to release him so that he can spread the message of biography of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) through his sermons and speeches in this holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. (KNS)
