An Ambulance Driver Who Turns To Be Covid-19 Warrior

Srinagar, June 12, (KNS): Besides Civil and Police administration are on toes to contain Covid-19 across J&K and ensure wellbeing of the community, an ambulance driver of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has become a passionate Covid-19 warrior and have ferried dozens of positive patients to different hospitals, despite left his family alone at home.
Amjad Hussain Mir, an ambulance driver in PHC Delina ferried dozens of Covid-19 positive patients to Srinagar and other hospitals in Valley. Besides shifting of Covid-19 patients and suspects, he also took part in several burials who succumbed while fighting with Covid-19 pandemic.
“I took part in many burials of positive patients and carried at least 100 positives during last two and a half month”, Mir said.
He added, “Though higher officials are also working and monitoring post-Covid19 situation across J&K, there are hundreds of other warriors also who have left their families and playing their collective role to defeat this deadly disease”.
“I handed over my family to Almighty and swung into action soon Covid-19 hit J&K. I am performing my duties sincerely. God is seeing what I am doing. He will give me the best reward for serving humanity in tough times”, Mir added. (KNS)
