Amid rise in Covid cases, biometric attendance for govt employees suspended: Dr Jitendra Singh

Srinagar, Jan 03 (KNS): In view of the rise in Covid-19 cases and amid omicron threat, the Union government on Monday decided to suspend biometric attendance for government officials and employees across the country.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Union Minister of State and in charge department of Personnel and Training, Dr Jitendra Singh said the biometric attendance of government officials and employees has been suspended till further orders.

He said that the decision has been taken in the interest of safety and health of the government employees.

“Keeping in view the rise in COVID cases in the last few days, the biometric attendance for govt officials and employees is being suspended with immediate effect, till further orders. The decision has been taken in the interest of safety and health of the govt employees,” he Tweeted. (KNS)
