Srinagar, July 25 (KNS): The annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra will proceed via the Baltal Axis, while the Pahalgam Axis has been temporarily suspended for urgent repair and maintenance work following recent rains.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, said the decision to carry out restoration work on the Pahalgam route was necessitated by weather-induced damage. "The Yatra shall continue through the Baltal Axis for which adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure smooth and safe pilgrimage," he said.
The administration has appealed to all pilgrims and stakeholders to extend full cooperation and adhere to advisories issued from time to time, in the interest of their safety and the seamless conduct of the Yatra.

Official sources said all essential arrangements, including security, medical facilities, and transport, have been bolstered on the Baltal route to manage the pilgrim rush effectively. No disruption in the overall schedule of the Yatra is anticipated. (KNS)
