Srinagar Janaury 25 (KNS):  The Electoral Club and SVEEP unit of Amar Singh College Cluster University, Srinagar organized the celebration of 13" National Voters Day on 25th of January 2023 at Taseer Hall of the college. Prof. Arifat Jan, Coordinator, Electoral Club, of the college, elaborated on the significance of the day with respect to this year’s theme “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure”. She also impressed upon the faculty members and students to get enrolled as voters, if not yet enrolled. Prof. Arifat also stressed that students must actively participate in elections and exercises their right to vote.

 The event was followed by the pledge taking ceremony led by the worthy principal, Prof. Bashir Ahmad Rather, followed by teaching and non-teaching staff and students. The worthy principal speaking on the occasion emphasized on the participation in electoral process especially among young qualified voters. The pledge was followed by the vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Shahnawaz Muntazir, Assistant Professor in English.
