Urges people to follow Covid SoPs in spirit, prays for peace, progress of UT

Srinagar July 20(KNS): Bhartiya Janata Party J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur greeted the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha and prayed for the everlasting peace and prosperity of the UT.

 

In a statement, Thakur said that Eid reminds us to take care of the poor, destitute and downtrodden and it is the utmost duty of the people across J&K, especially Kashmir to take care of the poor in their localities. 

 

He said Eid-ul-Adha has a message for the faithful to remain steadfast in their faith and to make sacrifices of animals in memory of prophet Ismail (AS), who was ready to sacrifice his own life in the path of Almighty Allah.

Thakur prayed that this Eid turn as the harbinger of peace, prosperity, and development in the J&K UT.

 

 BJP leader urged people to follow the Covid-protocol and to maintain social distance. He urged people not to lower the guard and to follow all SoPs while making sacrifices of animals and while distributing the meat of sacrificial animals.(KNS).
