Srinagar, December 31(KNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Haji Abdul Ahad Dar, a prominent social activist and former head of Halqa Rawalpora.

In a condolence message issued to KNS, Bukhari said: “Haji Abdul Ahad Dar Saheb shall be remembered for times to come for his contribution in mitigating the sufferings of inhabitants Halqa Rawalpora in the last many decades. He shall also be remembered for social reforms in almost over a dozen hamlets of Halqa Rawalpora.”

Bukhari said that the deceased was a thorough gentleman and pious soul who left indelible marks in philanthropic activities thereby helping out many underprivileged families in his area during his lifetime. “At this difficult time, I sympathize with the family of late Haji sahib especially Apni Party leader and SMC councilor Mohammad Ashraf Dar who lost his paternal uncle.”

He prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.(KNS)
