Srinagar March 10:(KNS)  Aijaz Ahmad, a great intellectual and philosopher of our times passed away this morning at Irvine, California USA.

His unfortunate death is an irreparable loss to all those who believe in and fight for socialism. He has visited J&K several times and addressed scholars, civil society and political activists.

He has published several books and a large number of articles in reputed journals and magazines, besides holding academic positions at York University, Toronto, Jamia Millia Islamia Delhi, California USA.

We join streams of intellectuals, revolutionary activists and commentators who are deeply saddened about his departure.(KNS)
