Srinagar December 02 (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial Vice President kashmir and incharge Lal chowk Constituency Ahsan Pardesi presided over a meeting at Halqa Balhama in Lal chowk Constituency.

During the breadth of the meeting the locals and party functionaries deliberated on current political scenario and measures for strengthening party on ground level. Among others party's local unit functionaries were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the workers, Ahsan said, “There is a perception on ground that the paradropped administration has become more unaccountable and the Central government’s claim to give Kashmir a corruption-free administration and good governance was simply rhetoric.”

Holding the incumbent administration responsible for price rise, scathing unemployment, administrative inertia and development deficit, Ahsan said, “Government is busy swelling its coffers, but when it comes to passing on the benefits to the poor, it sidesteps its responsibility. Despite charging hefty amounts from consumers, the rampant erratic power supply and unscheduled cuts is taking a toll on people during the ongoing winter season.

The administration is further deepening the troubles of people by providing inferior quality of rice and wheat at FCSCA ration stores. There is no accountability on the ground.

Ahsan Pardesi said there is a huge political vaccum on ground and people are missing the local government.

He observed that there is a pressing need for a democratically elected government in J&K that could make doctored changes in the dealings of administration more humane and more attuned to the political and developmental aspirations of people.
