Ahsan Pardesi presides meeting in Srinagar's Lasjan, Says city coping up with formidable challenges

Srinagar, 15 July(KNS):  The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial Vice President  Kashmir and Incharge of Lal Chowk Constituency Ahsan Pardesi presided over a meeting at Halqa Lasjan Soeitang.

Exhorting the workers on the amplification of their public outreach, Pardesi said," Never step back, face the challenges with courage and faith. Our distressed people want us to strengthen our rows to come to their rescue. The ruling party and its local trojan horses are not batting an eyelid over the miseries they have created for our people. We do not find any mention about the fuel price hike, farmers' distress, development deficit and unemployment in their talks.

It shows they are not worried about the people but only want to be in power. We have to amplify our efforts towards highlighting the public issues, because no one is doing it. No one will. Our cadre has to work extra time and walk an extra mile to shoulder people's woes. Our ground cadre is doing a good job, however the prevailing situation demands us to do more,”
“Developmental dividends of the "Smart City project" continue to remain untraceable on the ground across Srinagar.

Srinagar is witnessing unprecedented water crisis, Electricity, connectivity, and other public utility services continue to remain a distant dream for Srinagar residents. Formidable challenges in the shape of deficient health, and education-related infrastructure remain out of the ambit of Smart City project. It is becoming increasingly difficult for our people in Srinagar to feed their families due to the curtailment of ration quota at local FCCI stores. The little ration consumers get is of sub-standard quality which is driving them towards fatal diseases."

“What is needed is basic amenities. The idea behind the project was to give a decent quality of life to citizens in terms of a clean and sustainable environment and application of smart solutions to public issues keeping the citizens at the centre. This isn’t happening. The promised developmental dividends of the Smart City project continue to remain untraceable on the ground across Srinagar. It goes beyond the reach of the reason that till date, there has been no forward movement witnessing infrastructural augmentation, and enhancing basic facilities in this regard,” he added.(KNS).
