Agha Hassan knocks HC doors against his detention


Srinagar, Sep 17 (KNS): Agha Syed Hassan Al-Musawi Al-Safwi, head of ajman Sharia Shiites Jammu and Kashmir, has knocked the door of the High Court against house arrest.
According to reports he said "I have been under house arrest since August 3, 2019,". I have knocked on the door of the High Court against my unjustified detention. Due to unjustified detention, I am unable to fulfil my religious, national and official responsibilities. It has also had a negative effect on my health.
Agha Syed Hassan's lawyer Sheikh Manzoor told that his client had challenged his "unjustified" detention in a petition filed in the High Court. He said: "The first hearing on the petition was scheduled for Wednesday but I could not present arguments due to bad network. The matter will be heard again in a few days.
Talking about the text of the petition, he said, "In the petition, Agha Sahib has said that he has been detained illegally by the administration." No detention order has been issued by the administration. He further said that due to house arrest he is unable to fulfill his religious, national and official responsibilities. Continuous detention has also had a negative effect on their health.
A spokesman for Najman Sharia Shiites told that Agha Syed Hassan, who is also a senior Hurriyat leader, has been under house arrest since August 3, 2019, for the second year in a row in Budgam, a town in central Kashmir. During the holy month of Muharram, the historic and central Imambargah was unable to hold ten historical gatherings. He said that Agha Sahib has been under house arrest since August 3, 2019. For the second year in a row, he was unable to attend the 10th Majalis at the Central Imambargah, Budgam, depriving hundreds of mourners of sermons and advice and listening to the events of Karbala.
