After IAS Officer Tested Positive, Authorities Start Sanitization of Jammu Secretariat

Jammu, June 01, (KNS): Authorities on Monday started sanitization of Jammu Secretariat by anti-Covid19 chemicals soon two days after a senior IAS officer tested positive for novel Corona Virus.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), authorities initiated a process of spraying anti-virus chemicals and disinfectants and sanitize the entire Secretariat building where offices of senior bureaucrats are housed. Sources said that besides all floors of the Secretariat, the entire premise of the Secretariat was keenly disinfected.
Notably after a Commissioner Secretary ranked IAS officer on late Saturday evening was confirmed of Covid-19 positive, around eighty-six persons including many top IAS and KAS officers have been identified as the immediate contact of the officer. Sources said all officer were instantly shifted to home quarantine to keep the virus contained.
Among the immediate contacts, 45 persons belong to Jammu while 41 are from Kashmir. Sources added besides officers and officials, their family members are also been directed to home quarantine. (KNS)
