Bandipora, August 21(KNS): Peerzada Aqeel, a 26-year-old entrepreneur and fitness enthusiast, secured the overall championship in the senior division of the recently concluded 2nd Sher-i-Kashmir Bodybuilding & Men's Physique Championship 2023.
The event, organized by the Sports Association Jammu and Kashmir, showcased Aqeel's balanced physique and remarkable stage presence, making him the unequivocal victor in this category.
Aqeel, hailing from Bandipora, is the proud owner of "Aesthetic Era," a state-of-the-art gym and spa located near the iconic SK Stadium. The establishment stands as Bandipora's pioneering fitness center, equipped with modern facilities to cater to fitness enthusiasts of all levels.
After attaining a B. Tech degree from Maharashi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Aqeel followed his heart's calling and furthered his education by obtaining a degree in fitness and nutrition from Gold's Gym Fitness Institute Noida. With a solid foundation in fitness training, he worked as a fitness instructor at various gym centers before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey by establishing Aesthetic Era a year ago.
"It's my unwavering passion that led me to establish a gym," Aqeel revealed. His dedication to health and fitness is reflected in the numerous degrees and diplomas he has pursued in the field, coupled with his active participation in sports and bodybuilding competitions across Srinagar and Delhi
Reflecting on his recent championship win, Aqeel remarked, "Participation is paramount, and I'm honored to have been a part of this competition. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the federation sports association J&K and every athlete who contributed to the event's success. Participating itself is a victory, as it's about learning and growing through the process."
Acknowledging his support system, Aqeel conveyed his appreciation to his coach and mentor, Mr. Akhtar Wani, for believing in his potential and consistently motivating him to achieve new heights.
