Srinagar, 27th May (KNS): The People`s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Dr Nazir Ah Hakeem, brother in law of the senior party leader and former Minister Ab Gaffar Sofi.

In a statement issued to KNS, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has expressed solidarity with the family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

“Dr Nazir was a thorough professional who devoted his life to working for people in general and marginalized sections of the society in particular. May Allah grants Jannah to Nazir sahib and gives strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss,” Mehbooba said.

Meanwhile, Party Vice President A R Veeri, General Secretaries G N Lone Hanjura, Dr Mehboob Beg & Nizam ud din Bhat, Senior Leaders Naeem Akhter, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Syed Farooq Andrabi, Aasiya Naqash, Advocates Mohd Yusuf Bhat, Aijaz Ahmad Mir Additional General Secretary Agha Syed Mohsin, Chief Spokesperson Syed Suhail Bukhari State Secretaries Abdul Hameed Kosheen, Gh Mohi ud din Wani Choudhary Gulzar Ahmad Khatana, Advocate Khursheed Iqbal, District President Anantnag Advocate Sheikh Javed, Member DDC Anantnag Advocate Tassaduq Hussain, PDP Members of DDC Kulgam and other senior leaders have also condoled the sad demise of Dr Nazir, expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.(KNS)
