Srinagar, Nov 10 (KNS): Chairman JK Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Bhat, Saturday paid tributes two slain militants Liyaqat Ahmad Wani and Wajid ul Islam slain in an encounter with forces at Tikken Pulwama, stating that the youth are facing arrogant and brute forces.
They are sacrificing their precious lives for a sacred mission, said Zafar Akbar and added “We are duty bound to carry their mission to its logical end.”
In a statement issued to KNS, Zafar said that people of State are not war mongers, but through peaceful means urging India and world community to fulfill their pledge and resolve the political issue.
Zafar Akbar expressed his deep anguish over the harassment and detention of students saying students have every right to raise their voice against highhandedness of authorities and stressed immediate release of all students from police custody.
Zafar expressed hid deep shock over the death of Sharifa who succumbed to her injuries, saying she received deep and grave injuries in a mine blast in which six more innocent civilians were martyred in Kulgam after the militants were killed in an encounter.
Zafar castigated authorities for use of brute force, pellets and smoke shells against peaceful protestors, saying the dreaded weaponry is being used against humans, instead of the fact that PAVA and Pellets have been declared lethal weapons and UNHRC has banned its use against humans.
Zafar extended his condolences with the grieved families and prayed for their steadfastness and forbiddance. (KNS)
