Bandipora, Aug 11 (KNS): A tragic road accident near the S.K. Payeen bus stop in Bandipora on Monday claimed the life of a young man and left another injured.
According to witnesses, a truck collided with a scooty carrying two youth from Firdousabad Batamaloo, Srinagar. Both were rushed to the District Hospital Bandipora for urgent medical attention.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
One of the victims, identified as Irshad Manzoor (19), son of Manzoor Ahmad Shigan, succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead by doctors. The other youth, Rouf Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat, is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (KNS)
