Srinagar, Jan 14 (KNS) ; Senior BJP leader Sofi Yousuf on Wednesday issued a strong warning, stating that he would leave the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with nearly one lakh workers if any attempt is made to separate Jammu from Kashmir.

The remarks were made on the sidelines of a BJP convention, where party leaders and workers had gathered to discuss organizational and political issues. During the convention, Sofi Yousuf reacted sharply to the recent statement made by BJP leader Sham Lal Sharma, terming it irresponsible and detrimental to the unity of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Jammu and Kashmir is an indivisible entity. Any move, statement, or agenda aimed at dividing Jammu from Kashmir will not be tolerated. If such an attempt is made, I will not hesitate to quit the BJP along with one lakh dedicated workers,” Sofi Yousuf said while addressing party workers at the convention.
Meanwhile, BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan, also speaking at the convention, launched a scathing attack on the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference (NC) government, accusing it of once again betraying the people of Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“The Omar Abdullah-led NC government has repeatedly failed to protect the interests, aspirations, and trust of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Their governance record is marked by broken promises and political opportunism,” Anwar Khan said.
He further alleged that the NC leadership’s policies have deepened public discontent and mistrust, adding that people are no longer willing to be misled by what he described as double standards and hollow assurances.
Both leaders, while addressing the BJP convention, emphasized the importance of maintaining unity, peace, and regional harmony and urged political parties to avoid statements that could disturb public sentiment or weaken the social fabric of Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
