Srinagar, July 12(KNS): Cabinet Minister Sakina Itoo on Saturday said that the Jammu and Kashmir Government has formally sought permission to hold a tribute ceremony on July 13 in observance of Martyrs' Day, expressing optimism that the request will be approved.
According to KNS, she said, “We’ve applied for permission to pay our respects on July 13. Since the formation of the government, we’ve hardly taken a day off—we are working tirelessly to bring relief and development to the people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
Addressing procedural challenges, she noted, “The Home Department is not in our control, but we are hopeful that necessary permission will be granted.”
Itoo reaffirmed the government's dedication to honoring the sacrifices of the 1931 martyrs, emphasizing that their legacy remains central to the values of justice and democracy in Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
