Sopore, Oct 04 (KNS): In response to repeated delegations from village Zaloora highlighting water shortages caused by the non-operation of three pump stations on recently explored borewells under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Sub Division Sopore has taken immediate steps to address the issue.
An official order from the Office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, PHE Sub Division Sopore, dated 3nd October 2025, states that five officials from the National Building Construction Limited (NBCL) have been deputed to the PHE Mechanical North Sub-Division Sopore.
These officials will be responsible for operating the machinery at the said borewell pump stations.
The deputed staff—Nasir Ahmad Marazi, Rayees Ahmad Mir, Gh.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelMohd Dar, Parvaiz Ahmad Sheikh, and Altaf Ahmad Peer—will undergo training by the mechanical counterparts to ensure smooth operation of the machinery. Their monthly wages will be processed based on attendance and performance reports submitted by the concerned office.
The officials have been relieved from their previous duties with immediate effect and are expected to commence their responsibilities at the new postings promptly.
This move aims to mitigate the water shortage issues faced by the residents of Zaloora and ensure uninterrupted water supply through the operationalization of the borewell pump stations.(KNS).
