‘Directions to stop action against Army major is tantamount to murder of justice’

Srinagar, Feb 12 (KNS): Terming the Supreme Court (SC) directions over the Shopian killings as ‘unjustified’, United Jihad Council (UJC) on Monday said that halting the action against Army major is tantamount to ‘murder of justice’.
In a tele-statement as well as an e-mailed statement to KNS, the UJC spokesman, Syed Sadaqat Hussain quoted its chief, Syed Salah-ud-din said, “The martyrdom of Saima Wani is painful but India can’t suppress the freedom struggle by killing innocent boys and girls.”
He said, “The Indian forces have got frustrated by the successful activities of militants and have come up with the policy of killing innocent boys and girls. History stands testimony to the facts that such tactics have caused damage to the occupational forces.”
Calling SC directions over the Shopian killings as ‘unjustified’, UJC chief said, “The Indian leadership and forces are already involved into the killings of Kashmiris and now halting the investigations against the killings have indicated that its judiciary is also taking the side of atrocities.”
He appealed the world community to break its silence over the issue and impress upon the Indian forces to human rights violations in Kashmir.
UJC chief as per the statement also prayed for the courage to the bereaved family of Saima. (KNS)
