Srinagar, Jul 11 (KNS): United Jihad Council has paid rich tributes to the militants killed in Shopian encounter and said the civilian killings in various parts of valley were condemnable.
In an emailed statement to KNS, UJC Chief Syed Salah ud Din said that the “martyrs” were infusing oxygen to the movement and claimed that many army men including a JCO sustained injuries in the Shopian encounter.
Salah ud Din said that the killing of two civilians in the Shopian was condemnable and expresses his anguish over the killings. He also condemned the civilian killings in Kulgam.
The UJC chief criticized the international community and said that their silence on the atrocities in Kashmir were condemnable. UJC chief also paid tributes to Obaid Manzoor of Baramulla who succumbed after being injured in forces firing on June 25. (KNS)
