Baramulla, Dec 29(KNS): Baramulla Police on Monday issued a safety advisory imposing restrictions on trekking in forest areas of Tangmarg following an unauthorized trekking incident in the Danwas forest area earlier this month, officials said.
According to the advisory, the incident was reported on December 21 and prompted authorities to tighten regulations to ensure public safety and prevent any security-related misunderstandings.
Police said local residents intending to enter upper forest reaches must obtain the requisite permissions from the concerned authorities and are required to inform the local police or administration in advance.
For non-local tourists, entry and trekking in upper forest areas have been strictly prohibited under all circumstances, the advisory said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
