Srinagar, Jan 12 (KNS): Traffic from Srinagar to Jammu will ply on the national highway  subject to weather  on Monday with both light and heavy motor vehicles allowed to move.

SP rural Muzzafer shah told KNS that one-way traffic will be allowed to ply on the highway on Monday. However, he said light motor vehicles will have to cross Udhampur till 12 noon after which the trucks will be allowed to ply.

The officer have appealed the people before starting the journey confirm the status of the road from the nearest traffic omits.

It is worth to mention that since early November, the highway got closed several times due to snowfall and landslides causing huge inconvenience to the travellers (KNS).
