Traffic on Sgr-Jmu suspended as fresh landslides hit Ramban area

Srinagar, Jun 13 (KNS): The fresh landslides in Ramban area has forced the authorities to suspend the traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway while as the authorities claim to have pressed men and machinery to clear the raods.

The landslides triggered by incessant rains occurred in Ramban area, which has resulted in the closure of 300 km long Srinagar-Jammu highway, the only road connecting Valley with rest of the States.

Moreover, hundreds of vehicles as per reports are stranded on the highway.

Meanwhole, officials said that the men and machinery has been pressed to clear the roads.

They said the decision to allow stranded vehicles will be taken soon after the roads will be cleared. (KNS)
