Three special flights to bring Indian students back from Iran tonight

Srinagar, June 20 (KNS): Three special Mahan Air flights are scheduled to bring back around 1,000 Indian students from Mashhad, Iran to New Delhi tonight.

The evacuation operation comes amid the ongoing closure of airspace in the region, for which special permission has been granted to ensure the safe return of the students.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA), a large number of students on these flights belong to Jammu and Kashmir, many of whom were stranded due to the suspension of commercial flight operations.

The Association confirmed to KNS that it is in regular contact with officials managing the evacuation and will soon share flight details with the families of the returning students.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe flights are expected to land at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi later tonight.

Authorities have been coordinating with relevant agencies to facilitate the process, including immigration clearance, transport, and health screening.

Meanwhile, government sources said that the operation is being closely monitored to ensure that all students reach their destinations without delay.(KNS).
