Three CRPF men killed, SHO, CRPF men, lady injured in Anantnag attack

Srinagar, Jun 12 (KNS): Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnels were on Wednesday killed while a Station House Officer (SHO) Anantnag, four CRPF man and a lady sustained injury in an attack in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The attack as per officials took place at around 05:15. Officials said that the CRPF men from 116 battalion was attacked near oxford presentation institute in K P road area of Anantnag district.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Anantnag told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that three dead bodies of CRPF men are lying in the hospital while as four CRPF man and a lady who have also received the injury were also brought to the hospital for treatment.

The three slain CRPF men have been identified as ASI Nirod Sharma, Constable Satinder Kumar and Constable Mahesh

He said the lady had sustained minor injury was discharged after receiving the treatment.

However, he added that SHO Arshid Khan and four CRPF men who were injured have been referred to Badami Bagh hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, reports said that a militant has also been killed in brief shootout while one has managed to escape. (KNS)
