Baramulla, September 5 (KNS) : District President, Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association Baramulla, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, extended heartfelt Teachers’ Day greetings to the entire teaching fraternity, acknowledging their invaluable contribution in shaping minds, building character and strengthening society.

In a statement issued, He said that Teachers’ Day is not merely a celebration but an emotion of love, gratitude and respect for those who dedicate their lives to building generations.

Expressing concern over the gradual decline in genuine respect for teachers, Bhat said, “Respect for a teacher should come from the heart, not merely from the calendar.”

On the issue of eligibility tests for serving teachers, he said that while quality education and continuous professional development are essential, experienced teachers deserve trust and recognition for their years of service and classroom experience. Authorities should focus on meaningful training and capacity building rather than creating an atmosphere of distrust.
