Srinagar June 3, (KNS): On the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra accompanied by Senior Party leaders visited revered Kheer Bhawani temple at Tulmulla Ganderbal today, where the leaders paid respectful obeisance & prayed for wellbeing of people, peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra interacted with Pandit brothers and greeted them on this sacred occasion while enquiring about the arrangements made for the devotees.
Karra said Mela Kheer Bhawani signifies the unique cultural identity, multiplicity and special bond among different communities living in Kashmir since centuries. Mela Kheer Bhawani refreshes the memories of age-old tradition of brotherhood and amity, which is the hallmark of Kashmir’s composite culture.

On this occasion, JKPCC President greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Urs of Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (Shah e Hamdaan RA) and prayed for the wellbeing of the people. The teachings of Shah e Hamdaan shall continue to remain beacon of light and hope for the people while praying that both the auspicious occasions (Mela Kheer Bhawani, Urs of Shah e Hamdan RA) will be the harbinger of wellbeing and prosperity of people.
