Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNS): Most parts of Kashmir recorded sub-zero minimum temperatures on Tuesday, with Zojila Pass emerging as the coldest place at minus 17 degrees Celsius, officials said.
In the Valley, Pampore and Pulwama were the coldest inhabited areas, both recording a minimum of minus 4 degrees Celsius, followed by Shopian at minus 3.8 degrees Celsius and Anantnag at minus 3.3 degrees Celsius.
Srinagar recorded a low of minus 1.8 degrees Celsius, while the city’s airport logged minus 2 degrees Celsius.
Other places in Kashmir included Qazigund and Bandipora at minus 2.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel2 degrees Celsius, Baramulla at minus 2.9 degrees Celsius, Budgam at minus 2.8 degrees Celsius and Pahalgam and Awantipora at minus 2.6 degrees Celsius each. Gulmarg recorded a minimum of 0.5 degrees Celsius.
In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degrees Celsius, while Banihal logged 1.7 degrees Celsius and Rajouri 1 degree Celsius.
In Ladakh, Nyoma was the coldest at minus 14.3 degrees Celsius, followed by Padum at minus 9.1 degrees Celsius and Drass at minus 8.2 degrees Celsius, officials said.(KNS).
