Kupwara, Jan 17 (KNS):  The internet Kiosks setup by the Government at district headquarters for facilitating the submission of various forms by students is turning damp squib due to heavy rush of students.
 
A group of students from Baramulla and Kupwara on Friday told KNS that they missed to submit the Pre metric, Post metric scholarship on time as the internet kiosks setup in respective offices of Deputy Commissioners are not able to cater to heavy rush of students.
The students said they couldn’t submit their scholarship forms due to heavy rush of students at DC office Baramulla.
“I am visiting the DC office Baramulla continuously for three days and still failed to fill the form due to huge rush in the office,”a student from Tangmarg Aqib Zahoor told KNS.
Similar reports were received from Kupwara where dozens of students complained of insufficient number of internet kiosks as compared to rush of students.
A student of Haril Handwara told KNS that they had to travel for more than 35 kilometres to reach deputy commissioner officer Kupwara to access the internet facility.
They students demanded extension of submission of the pre metric scholarship.
The internet services in the Kashmir valley was suspended hours before when the center abrogated the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the erstwhile state into the two union territories (KNS).
