Lone thanked Congress leader Ghulam Ahmed Mir for fast-tracking his appeal to Himachal CM
Srinagar, Sep 4 (KNS) Kashmiri labourers stranded in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh due to relentless rains and landslides received timely assistance after intervention by senior Congress leader Ghulam Ahmed Mir, following a social media alert by J&K Peoples Conference President and Handwara MLA Sajad Lone.
In a statement issued, Lone had earlier raised concern over the plight of workers from Kupwara and Kangan, amid reports of potential casualties, and appealed for urgent humanitarian help.

Mir promptly contacted Lone, collected the necessary information, and relayed it to the relevant authorities, ensuring swift action on the ground.
Expressing his gratitude, Lone said, “My heartfelt thanks to Congress leader Ghulam Ahmed Mir sahib. He was approached by the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh after reposting my tweet and seeking details of the location and contacts of the stranded workers. I will forward the details to Mir sahib.
