Srinagar Police Organizes “Ekta Pledge” Ceremony Across All Police Establishments

Srinagar, Oct 31 (KNS) :To mark the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), Srinagar Police organized "Ekta Pledge” ceremonies across District Police Headquarters, District Police District Police Headquarters, all Police Stations, Police Posts, and other units of the District Police.

The event was held in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of India’s unity and integrity.

The pledge ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and personnel at all levels. The Ekta Pledge was administered across all units and offices by senior and supervisory officers of the District Police.

This event emphasized the importance of collective responsibility among police personnel in promoting national integration, maintaining law and order, and ensuring communal harmony in the district.

The event concluded with the officers and personnel taking the National Unity Pledge, followed by a brief interaction emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and public service as the cornerstones of policing.

The Ekta Pledge ceremonies were part of a series of nationwide events aimed at promoting unity and integrity across the country, in line with the vision of the Government of India to celebrate the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
