Srinagar-Jammu highway reopens for both LMVs, HMVs

Srinagar, Nov 14 (KNS): After several disruptions in the recent days, the Srinagar-Jammu national highway was again reopened for vehicular traffic on Thursday.

SSP Traffic (Rural) Mubashir Shah told KNS that the highway was reopened for two-way traffic on Thursday. However, he said, only light motor vehicles (LMVs) were allowed to ply from both the sides.
“Subject to weather conditions, the highway shall remain open for two way LMV traffic on Friday also,” the SSP Traffic told KNS.
Since the heavy snowfall on November 7, the highway remained closed for several days before it was reopened on Tuesday. However, it again got blocked due to landslides on Wednesday. (KNS)
