Soz reacts to Dr Jitender Singh’s statements on Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 17 (KNS): Reacting to Union MoS Dr Jitender Singh’s recent statements on Kashmir, senior Congress leader and former union minister Saif-u-Din Soz on Sunday said that he feels he can make any political statement under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s patronage.

“But, then, he can hardly bring any credit for his mentor. He goes on making statements one after the other, which are always uncalled for. Jitender Singh asserted the other day that the three former J&K CM’s should continue to remain under detention so that the political system remains safe and sound. This is a fascist culture,” he told KNS in a statement.

“PM Modi’s colleagues do not, as a class, accept any dissent and a kind of political bigotry has become rampant in India,” Soz alleged.

“There are reports that political detenues are being shifted to MLA’s hostel. If this is the attitude of J&K administration towards the political system, how does it envisage holding elections to the J&K legislative assembly?” he asked. (KNS)
