Srinagar, May 07 (KNS): Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik have announced that shutdown against the Shopian killings will continue tomorrow, i.e May 08 (Tuesday).
In a statement issued on Monday, the Joint Resistance Leadership condemned the restrictions imposed on resistance leaders and the detentions of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik. The statement said ‘Mirwaiz Umar Farooq defied the restrictions and tried to take out the march to civil secretariat but was detained and lodged at Police station Nigeen and Yasin Malik was already arrested by police.” (KNS)
