Shopian, Mar 05 (KNS): Ruling PDP MLA from Wachi Advocate Aijaz Ahmad Mir Monday expressed his deep anguish over the loss of civilian lives in Pahnoo Shopian.
Mir said every civilian killing is painful which is like a budding flower plucked from a garden.
"Killing of civilians is not acceptable in any case. Three generations of ours have already vanished in thin air. Condemnation is very little word to express on this bigger tragedy," he said in a statement issued here.
Mir added that  notwithstanding how erroneously made, every civilian killing has a tendency of vitiating the peaceful atmosphere.
"I am pained and emotionally amputated with this fresh incident. I have no words to condemn it," he said.
He said these law enforcing agencies especially Army are not learning any lessons from previous such experiences.
Such reckless killings have only inflamed the situation and if such type of incidents are repeated again and again, there is apprehension that situation in the valley may turn ugly again.
Mir expressed his solidarity with the bereaved families, and demanded that a judicial enquiry be ordered so that the truth comes to the fore and guilty and culprits of this crime are booked and brought to justice. (KNS)
