Pulwama, Nov 16 (KNS): A meeting of Shopian/Pulwama working Journalist Guild was held today in Pulwama.
In the meeting, elections were conducted to form a body of office bearers in which all the members of guild (from Shopian, Pulwama) took part.
Some issues, plans were discussed in the meeting.
All members unanimously elected Fayaz Wani (KNS) as president, whereas Showkat Dar (Greater Kashmir) was nominated as Vice President, Mohammad Iqbal as General Secretary (India Today), Sheikh Hilal (Kashmir Life) as spokesperson and Qayoom Khan (CNN, IBN 7) as treasurer of the guild.
The elections were conducted in an emergency as the previously acting President Ayoub Javaid due to his personal engagements was not able to give due time to the guild works.
It was on the request of Ayoub Javid, these elections were conducted. (KNS)
