Srinagar, 11 Oct (KNS) : The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference State Women's Wing President and MLA Habba Kadal Advocate Shameema Firdous Saturday laid the foundation stone for the upgradation of the playfield at Chinkrar Mohalla, Srinagar. The development project, with an estimated cost of ?68 lakhs, is aimed at improving sports infrastructure to provide better recreational opportunities for the youth of the area.
In a Statement Issued , Speaking at the occasion, Adv. Firdous highlighted the importance of creating quality public spaces that nurture youth talent and promote healthy living. She reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the overall development and welfare of the constituency. Accompanying her were senior officials from the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council and the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC).
Following the ceremony, the MLA visited Chan Mohalla Sajadabad in Chatabal to inspect ongoing development activities, including lane construction and drainage repairs. In a related event, Er. Sabiya Qadri, Provincial President of the Women’s Wing Kashmir, addressed party women functionaries at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, on the occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child.
Sabiya Qadri praised the visionary efforts of successive National Conference governments in advancing the status of women and girls in the region. She highlighted the party’s pioneering manifesto, which guarantees girls equal rights and opportunities in all spheres of life.
