Srinagar Jan 4 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday witnessed a major administrative reshuffle as the Ministry of Home Affairs ordered the transfer of several IAS and IPS officers under the AGMUT cadre. The move is part of routine cadre management aimed at strengthening governance and ensuring efficient administration in the Union Territory.
According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, seven IAS and IPS officers have been transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect. The officers moved out include Santosh D Vaidya (IAS), Niraj Kumar (IAS), Syed Abid Rashid Shah (IAS), Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary (IAS), Saloni Rai (IAS), Rajinder Kumar Gupta (IPS), and Shobhit D Saksena (IPS). They have been posted to Delhi, Chandigarh, Ladakh and Puducherry.
At the same time, the Centre has posted several officers to Jammu and Kashmir, bringing in fresh administrative leadership to the Union Territory.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThose transferred to Jammu and Kashmir include Ashwani Kumar (IAS) from Delhi, R Alice Vaz (IAS) from Delhi, Anjali Sehrawat (IAS) from Delhi, Sagar D Dattatray (IAS) from DNH&DD, Akriti Sagar (IAS) from Arunachal Pradesh, Kumar Abhishek (IAS) from Delhi, Sudhanshu Dhama (IPS) from Arunachal Pradesh, Sunny Gupta (IPS) from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Prashant Priya Gautam (IPS) from Delhi.
Officials said the transfers are a regular administrative exercise intended to ensure better coordination, improve service delivery, and strengthen governance mechanisms in Jammu and Kashmir.
The reshuffle comes at a time when the Union Territory continues its focus on administrative reforms, development initiatives, and maintaining effective law and order across the region.(KNS)
