 Srinagar, Jan 14(KNS): Senior journalist and Editor-in-Chief of the weekly newspaper Kashmir Traveller, Nisar Peerzada, a resident of Tral, passed away after a prolonged illness. His death has been widely mourned by members of the journalistic fraternity across Kashmir.

Journalists and media organisations from different parts of the Valley expressed grief over his passing and extended condolences to the bereaved family.

In a condolence message, a journalists’ association in Tral conveyed sympathies to the family and prayed for strength and patience for them during the period of mourning.

Editor-in-Chief of Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mohd Aslam Bhat, also expressed condolences on Peerzada’s demise.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Senior Urdu Editor at KNS, Syed Aijaz, described his passing as a significant loss to the media fraternity.

“May Allah grant the departed soul Jannah and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss,” he said.

Nisar Peerzada was known for his long association with journalism and his role as Editor-in-Chief of Kashmir Traveller.

Colleagues remembered him for his contribution to local journalism and his engagement with issues concerning the region.(KNS).
