Jammu, Jan 5 (KNS): Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr DCM), Jammu, Uchit Singhal has been selected for the prestigious Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar (AVRSP) 2025 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to railway operations and passenger services during the year 2025.

According to a press release issued by Northern Railway, Jammu Division, the award will be conferred by the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

After the formation of the Jammu Division in 2025, Singhal assumed charge as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager on March 23, 2025. Under his leadership, the division witnessed notable improvements in passenger amenities, commercial operations and overall operational efficiency, the release said.

His key contributions include strengthening passenger facilities, enhancing revenue generation and ensuring smooth commercial operations on the strategically important Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL), which has significantly improved rail connectivity in the region, it said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The AVRSP 2025 award ceremony will be held on January 9 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi. Around 100 railway employees from various zones and departments across the country will be honoured for their exceptional service, it said.

The recognition is being seen as a moment of pride for the Jammu Division, highlighting the role of railway personnel in strengthening infrastructure and passenger services, the release added.

Expressing his gratitude, Singhal said, “This recognition reflects the collective sincerity and hard work of the entire Jammu Division. It acknowledges the dedicated efforts made to improve passenger comfort, safety and convenience.
