Scores of political workers from Sonawar join National Conference

Srinagar, Mar 29 (KNS): Scores of political workers, prominent personalities from Sonwar constituency joined Jammu & Kashmir National Conference today in presence of party vice president Omar Abdullah at his Gupkar residence. The new entrants into the party included 4 Sarpanchs and 6 Panchs from Theed, Barjee and Fakir Gujree led by Sarpanch Zubair Bhat. On the occasion prominent Shia cleric and leader Syed Murtuza Shah also joined the party.

Omar Abdullah while welcoming the new entrants into the party fold urged the young political workers to work for the party and for the betterment of the people. “I am hopeful that the new entrants in the party will collectively work for making party stronger at the grass roots,” he said.

Among others Provincial president Nasir Sogami, District President Peer Afaq, Political Secretary Tanvir Sadiq and Ahsan Pardesi were present on the occasion. (KNS)
