Kulgam, August 09 (KNS): Minister for Education, Sakeena Itoo, saturday inaugurated the newly constructed Science Block at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) D.K. Marg and participated in Parent-Teachers Meetings (PTM) at GHSS D.K. Marg and K.B. Pora.

Speaking at the Cluster PTM, the Minister emphasized the government’s focus on ensuring access to quality education for all and strengthening educational infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir. She assured that schools will be equipped with essential facilities like washrooms, fencing, and modern amenities to create a better learning environment.

Highlighting the untapped tourism potential of DH Pora and nearby destinations such as Aharbal, Kongwattan, Kounsarnag, and Panchan Pathri, she said the government will promote tourism activities and train local youth in tourism-related trades to boost self-employment and economic development.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

She also felicitated a NEET achiever and an athlete from the institution before visiting GHSS K.B. Pora, where she reiterated the Omar Abdullah-led government’s commitment to holistic development with special focus on the education and health sectors.

On the occasion, the Minister distributed aids and appliances among Children with Special Needs (KNS).
