Srinagar, 03 Sept (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar visited the shrine of Peer Dastgir Sahib (RA) at Khanyar and reviewed the arrangements put in place for the annual Urs.
He interacted with local residents and the management of the shrine, discussed various issues with them and listened to their demands.
In view of the annual Urs, he directed the concerned authorities to ensure adequate and proper arrangements for devotees, including uninterrupted drinking water supply, uninterrupted electricity, sanitation and cleanliness, healthcare facilities and adequate transport arrangements, throughout the morning and evening.

Sagar also urged the concerned authorities to ensure adequate arrangements for devotees at other historic and ancient shrines during the Urs, including Dargah Ghausia Rahbaba Sahib (RA) at Alam Kadal, Ziyarat Dastgir Sahib (RA) at Sarai Bala, Aasar-e-Sharief Jenab Sahib at Soura, Ziyarat Dastgir Sahib (RA) at Bandipora, Zachaldar, Banihal, Rafiabad, Sopore, Panjura in Shopian and other shrines.
It may be recalled that the Urs festivities are scheduled to commence from 29th Rabi-ul-Awwal.(KNS)
